The story revolves around a Filipino family going through the motions of the stagnant 2020 Covid Lockdown. The youngest child, Vianca, struggles with her creative writing task for school. To help her, Vianca’s Tatay (father), who is locked down in The Philippines, tells Vianca traditional Filipino folktales that come alive in their living room. Although the world has come to a halt, there is movement in Vianca’s household as stories transport her to different worlds and familial issues are revealed to her.
